What is Reactive Terrain RC?
Reactive Terrain RC started with a passion for small-scale radio-controlled vehicles, but over the years it has grown into something much bigger than simply driving RC cars.
Our focus is the world of 1/24 and 1/18 scale RC vehicles, with an emphasis on building, modifying, creating and, most importantly, sharing the hobby with others.
At the heart of Reactive Terrain RC, is our constantly evolving indoor scaled RC environment. We use it to host our monthly Pay & Play sessions, competitions and community events, while also using the course as a place to experiment, build and create.
But Reactive Terrain isn't a traditional model shop or an RC retailer.
We don't sell RTR vehicles as our primary business. Instead, we use RC vehicles, course building, CAD, 3D printing and content creation as tools to encourage people to get involved in the hobby.
We regularly build and modify vehicles, develop new terrain and produce videos showing people how they can build their own rigs and even create their own RC courses. Many of the ideas and designs we develop are shared with the wider community through our YouTube channel, social media and digital STL files.
Building, Learning & Sharing
A big part of what we do is showing people what's possible.
Whether it's designing a new part, modifying a vehicle, building a new section of terrain or experimenting with a completely different idea, we want to encourage people to have a go themselves.
You don't need the most expensive vehicle, the biggest collection of parts or years of experience. Some of our favourite projects have started with little more than an idea and a willingness to experiment.
Our aim is to share what we learn, inspire others and help make the hobby more accessible to people who may be completely new to it.
Events & Experiences
Throughout the year we organise competitions, challenges, endurance events and community activities at Reactive Terrain RC.
Our monthly Pay & Play sessions are deliberately relaxed and accessible. Drivers can bring their own vehicles, or if they don't own one, we can provide an RC vehicle for them to have a go.
Our events are about more than the competition itself. They provide an opportunity for people to meet, talk, learn from each other, share their builds and spend time together.
Why We Do It
The more time we've spent building Reactive Terrain RC, the more we've realised that the RC vehicles are only part of the story.
What started as a hobby has developed into a community of people who enjoy building, driving, creating, learning and simply spending time together.
That's what we want Reactive Terrain RC to continue to be a place where people can get involved, have a go, learn something new, meet other people and enjoy a hobby together.
We're continually developing the course, creating new projects and looking for new ways to support and grow the wider RC community.
